Beauty Gown (25%)

Beauty Gown counts for 25% of your Required Competition score. 

The judges are looking for a delegate that is elegant, graceful, her overall appearance, the modeling style, her facial beauty, poise and personality. 

Scores are based on the judges’ overall impressions, and the contestant’s ability to capture both the judges’ and the audience’s attention.  We suggest choosing a dress that reflects your unique personality and style. The color and style are your choice. The dress should help you feel confident, excited and make you feel beautiful.

Helpful Hints to Dress Your Best:

• It’s important that you look and feel your very best at the pageant.  Remember you will do your best when you are in a dress that makes you feel like a winner. Be sure to choose a dress in which you can walk safely! For example, if your dress has a train, it may accidentally be stepped upon.
• Don’t try to be something that you are not. Pick a dress that will reflect your personality and sense of style. Let the dress show everyone who you are.
• When deciding on a color for your dress ask yourself, “What does this color say about me and how does it make me feel?”
  

Fun Fashion (25%)

Show us your style and strut your stuff! Fun fashion is a fashion forward part of America’s Elegant Miss Scholarship Program.

Scoring 25%. Outfit should express the personality of the contestant and be fun. Judged on elegance, modeling, fit, and appearance. Jumpsuits, rompers with over skirts and high low dresses are all acceptable with rhinestones. Show us your style And your modeling. 

Helpful Hints for Fun Fashion 

• Be yourself! Your going to do the best when you show us who you are.  Don't try and be someone you are not.  We want to see you sparkle in your outfit!
• Make sure to pick out an outfit that you feel that you can rock on the stage.  Remember you will do best when you choose an outfit that you feel most comfortable.
• When deciding on a color pick something that makes you unique and happy! 
• Show us your personality in your outfit. We want to see who you are!

Introduction (25%)

Introduction is a time for the judges to get to know you right before the interview process. Your introduction should be no longer than 30 seconds.
Scoring 25%. will be judged on elegance, introduction content and presentation. We encourage delegates to include community involvement, platform, social activities, name and you can include your state title.  This portion of the competition will take place right before your interview. You will wear your interview attire.

Helpful Hints for Introduction

• Tell us about why our passionate about community service and what you love to do in your spare time. This is a time to introduce your self and to brag about all your accomplishments, and important information
• Don't be afraid to brag a little. The more information you tell us about the more information we get to know about you.
• Make sure to speak clearly and speak up.  We want to be able to hear you. 

Interview (25%)

Interview is a conversation time between the delegate and the judges. It’s a way for the judges to get to know you and ask questions about you.
During the interview process the contestants will compete in a 3 min. panel style interview. Will be judged on elegance, appearance, and answer content. The questions asked will be age appropriate and no political questions. They will not be difficult, but will pertain to getting to know the contestant, their ambitions, platform, and community involvement. Questions could come from Interview Resume completed by delegate or from their introduction. For interview, contestants should wear interview attire (dress, jumpsuit, or suit).

Helpful Hints for Interview

• Make sure your outfit fits properly
• Just relax and have a conversation.  We just want to get to know you.
• Speak clearly and speak up.
